Privacy Policy

Short version: your day lives on your iPhone. Only what Asa needs to understand a request is sent to an AI model, never kept for training. Nothing is sent, booked or paid without your yes.

Who is responsible

This website

• Server logs. Our web server (DigitalOcean, London) records IP address, time, page and browser for up to 14 days to keep the site secure. Legal basis: legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
• No cookies, no tracking, no analytics. Fonts are served from our own server.
• Waitlist. The waitlist button opens an email to hello@asakai.app. We use your address only to invite you and delete it on request.

The ASAKAI app

• On your iPhone: your line (appointments, to-dos), what Asa remembers about you, your documents and settings. Calendar, Reminders, Contacts, location, microphone and speech recognition are used only after you allow them in iOS, and speech is recognised on the device.
• AI model: to understand a request, the conversation and the small slice of your day it needs (for example the next days' titles and times) are sent via OpenRouter to the language model you choose. We only allow providers that do not store or train on the data. For documents, personal numbers (IBAN, customer numbers, phone, address, birth date) are hidden before anything leaves the phone.
• Mail: if you connect a mailbox (for example Microsoft 365), the app reads it directly from your provider. Asa gets read and send rights only, no delete. Excerpts of the mails you ask about are sent to the AI model as above. A mail is only sent after your yes.
• Messages: WhatsApp and iMessage drafts open in those apps; you send them.
• Maps and travel times: Apple Maps on the device. Web search: the query is sent via OpenRouter to a search provider.
• Payments: ASAKAI never pays and never stores card details. You pay in your own payment app.

How long we keep data

App data stays on your iPhone until you delete it or the app. During the test phase, conversation transcripts are stored on your iPhone only, to find errors, and can be switched off under Me.

Your rights

You can ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability and object to processing (Art. 15–21 GDPR), and complain to a data protection authority. Write to hello@asakai.app.
